Upload & Select Pages

Files stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How It Works

Extract Specific PDF Pages Safely in Your Browser

Splitting a PDF or extracting select pages is highly useful when a receiver only requires specific parts of a document—for instance, the first page of a bank statement, or just your identity details from a multi-page file. Sharing only the required sections limits exposure of your personal data.

Privacy First, Local Execution

Like all our utilities, the PDF Split tool runs strictly in your web browser. Your uploaded PDF file stays on your device's memory; it is never uploaded to any remote server or stored. Our script extracts selected pages locally using client-side JavaScript, ensuring maximum privacy.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Drag & drop or click browse to select a PDF file.
  2. Click the visual page thumbnails in the sidebar to select or deselect specific pages.
  3. Alternatively, type your desired page ranges in the input field (e.g. 1-3, 5, 7-9).
  4. Click Extract Pages to generate and download the new PDF containing only your selected pages.

Preparing for Watermarking

Extracting the relevant pages is the first step in document preparation. Once you have split and downloaded your document, upload it to our homepage Watermark Tool to add your purpose-specific protection watermark before sharing it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my split files or originals saved?

No. We do not store, view, or upload any file. All reading, page rendering, and PDF splitting occur entirely inside your browser's execution memory (RAM). Nothing is stored on any server.

Does page extraction affect PDF quality?

No. The tool extracts original pages without re-compressing them or modifying vector text, so the output document maintains the exact same clarity, font rendering, and quality as the source file.

How does page range parsing work?

The input accepts comma-separated lists and hyphens for page ranges. For example, typing 1-3, 5 will select pages 1, 2, 3, and 5. Unrecognized symbols are ignored, and page numbers out of bounds are ignored.
